What that means in practice

The tours listed here are sold through GetYourGuide and Viator. When you follow a link from one of these pages and go on to book, the platform pays us a share of its own commission. You pay the same fare either way; the price on the booking page is the operator's price, not a marked-up one.

What we are not

We are not a tour operator. We do not run any of these tours, employ any of these guides, drivers or skippers, or hold your booking. Your contract is with the operator, through the platform.

We have no connection with Côte d'Azur France, the towns of the coast or their tourist offices, the Principality of Monaco, or any tour, boat or transport company.

How tours get listed

Operators cannot pay for placement, position or a badge. A badge on a card is a measured claim: Top rated only on a tour rated 4.9 or higher, Best seller only on the tour with the most reviews, Best value only on the cheapest tour. A platform's own badge is not shown.

Today Best seller sits on the one-day Riviera road tour from Nice. Top rated sits on the e-bike ride to an organic vineyard, the most-reviewed of the tours rated 5.0. Best value sits on the open-top e-car loop from the port of Nice, the lowest fare one person can book.

The featured tours at the top of the homepage are three different kinds of tour from three starting points: a small-group road day with hotel pickup in Nice, a boat to the Mala cave from the port of Nice, and a food tour that starts in Cannes.

The small-group road day is sold on both platforms by the same operator. The pair is never shown side by side, and each listing is described from its own page.

Prices, ratings and how current they are

Prices, star ratings and review counts belong to the operators and were taken from their own listings on 26 September 2026. They move, and the figure at checkout is the one that counts. Every fare is quoted in US dollars because that is the currency the listings were captured in; nothing is converted at an exchange rate.

One fare, the Medieval Villages day, was showing a reduced special-offer price when it was captured. The regular price is the one shown. Where a listing counts its reviews two slightly different ways, the count shown is the one its own star breakdown adds up to.

Some fares are per person and some per group, and each price says which. Where a private boat's own exclusions add a fee paid per booking, that fee is printed beside the price in the listing's own figures, in euros.

Facts about the coast itself, such as opening hours, museum prices, the tram and the train, come from the official pages of the towns, the transport networks, the railway and the museums. Where a detail comes from a listing, such as a meeting point, a group size, an age limit or what the fare covers, it belongs to that tour.

What we deliberately do not publish

• A stop the itinerary does not make. One road day's overview promises the Roman trophy at La Turbie, but its stop list passes the village without stopping; we go by the stop list. Another names Fragonard's factory in Grasse where its stop is the one in Èze.
• “Small group” on a large one. Where a listing gives two caps, or a cap above 12, the card prints the larger cap and never calls it a small group.
• A place the listing puts in the wrong town. Some boat listings place the Mala cave in Èze; we do not repeat that as fact.
• “Skip the line”. The Riviera has no gate and no queue to skip, so no such label is shown.
• Figures no official source settles. A sea temperature, the length of the Croisette, or a single journey time for the airport tram.
• A price without its fee. Where a private boat adds a fee per booking, the price is never shown without it.
