Prices, pickups, cruise days, boats, bikes, wine and refunds, answered from the operators' own listings and the official pages of the towns. Choosing between French Riviera tickets? The answers below settle most of it.
Two answers matter more than the rest. First, no fare buys entry to the Riviera itself. A fare buys a road day to Èze, Monaco and Saint-Paul-de-Vence, one town on foot, or the coast from the sea. Second, some private boats add €300 per booking on top, so the fare you book is not always the whole cost.
After that, it is the calendar and the map. The Lérins Islands off Cannes need a ferry or a private boat. The palace in Monaco opens only from spring to autumn, and the big dates of 2027 fill the hotels early.
How much do French Riviera tours cost?
From $58 for a two-hour open-top e-car loop and $62 for the sunset boat. A half day to Èze and Monaco costs $75 to $111 a person, a full road day $85 to $149, and a private road tour $180 to $191 a person. Whole boats start at $158 for a group, and some add €300 on board.
Do I need to book in advance?
In summer, yes: the small-group days, the boats and the food walks carry the fewest seats. Every tour listed here refunds in full up to 24 hours before it starts, so booking early costs you nothing.

Yes. Every tour listed here refunds in full if you cancel at least 24 hours before it starts. If the operator cancels for weather, you are offered another date or a full refund.
Which tours pick you up at your hotel?
The road days from Nice collect you inside the city, and the private road tours pick up where you choose. Boats, bikes, e-cars, the wine tasting and the food walks meet at a named spot, so find yours the day before.
Do French Riviera tours start anywhere other than Nice?
Yes. The food walks start in Cannes and Menton. Private boats leave from Cannes, Beaulieu-sur-Mer, Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and Port Silva Maris below Èze, and a self-drive boat from a dock in Monaco.
Can cruise passengers join a road tour?
Some can. The Liven Up Nice full day picks up at the port, and the private road tours from Nice collect you where you ask, the port included. Riviera Star Tours' days and BINGO TOUR's half-day do not take cruise passengers, so check before you book.
Is entry to the Prince's Palace or the museums included?
No tour listed here includes a paid interior. The palace State Apartments cost €13 and open from 30 March to 15 October; the Oceanographic Museum costs €22.50. The Fragonard perfume factory in Èze is free, and most road days stop there.
How many French Riviera towns can you see in one day?
A full road day from Nice reaches four to seven towns, typically Èze, Monaco, Cannes, Antibes and Saint-Paul-de-Vence. Time in each runs from 15 minutes to 2.5 hours, so compare the stop times, not only the list of names.
Is a half day enough for Èze and Monaco?
For a first look, yes. The half days give 30 minutes to 1.5 hours in Èze village, usually with the free Fragonard factory, and 20 minutes to about 1 hour 40 in Monaco and Monte-Carlo. Pick the one with the longer stops if Monaco matters most.
Which boat tours include a swim?
The Mala cave boat, the sunset boat and the 3-hour trip with a stop in Villefranche-sur-Mer all stop to swim, and so do most private boats. Swimming is unsupervised; non-swimmers stay aboard.
What is the €300 fee on some private boats?
It is paid per booking on top of the online price: for the captain and service on the Cannes boat, for the captain and fuel on the Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat day-cruiser, and as local fees on the boat from below Èze. Every price here prints that fee beside it.
Are there French Riviera wine tours?
Yes: an e-bike ride from Nice to an organic vineyard in Bellet with a tasting, and a seated tasting of eight French wines in central Nice. Riders can be 15 on the vineyard ride, but only over-18s are served wine.
Are the tours suitable for wheelchair users?
Most are not. The Liven Up Nice full day lists wheelchairs and folding wheelchairs as accessible. The other road tours, the boats and the bikes say they are not, so ask the operator before you book anything else.
What is the best French Riviera tour for a first visit?
A full road day from Nice with a small group covers the most ground once, with pickup at your hotel. Follow it with a boat or a food walk, which show you the coast a road day only passes.
Can children join the tours?
On the road tours, yes, and several offer infant seats. The Nice boats take no one under 5, the e-bike tours need riders of at least 1.45 to 1.60 m, and the Segway starts at 14.
Is lunch included on the day tours?
No. Lunch is not in the fare on any road day; you buy it at a stop. The Cannes food tour is a four-course lunch, and the Menton food walk includes lunch.
Do I need a passport in Monaco?
Not to walk in: there is no border check. To enter the Casino's gaming rooms you must be 18 or over and show a passport or national ID card; a driving licence is not accepted.
How do I get from Nice to Monaco without a tour?
By the TER coastal train: about 22 minutes from Nice-Ville to Monaco-Monte-Carlo for €6.10 full fare, with around 60 trains a day. It calls at Villefranche-sur-Mer, Beaulieu-sur-Mer and Èze-sur-Mer on the way.
Can I reach Èze village by bus?
Yes: line 82 or regional line 602 from Nice climb to the village. The 602 does not run on Sundays, and the train station at Èze-sur-Mer is at sea level, far below the village.
How do I get to Saint-Paul-de-Vence without a car?
Take tram line 2 to Parc Phoenix, bus 9 to Vence, then bus 655 for the last few minutes. The old direct bus from Nice no longer runs, so allow most of a morning each way.
How do I visit the Lérins Islands?
By ferry from Cannes: Trans Côte d'Azur sails to Sainte-Marguerite in about 15 minutes, and Planaria, the abbey's own ferry, to Saint-Honorat in about 20 minutes for €19.50 return. The private Cannes boat takes you there too.
Is the Fragonard perfume factory free?
Yes. Fragonard gives free guided visits of about 30 minutes, roughly every half hour, at its factory in Èze and at its historic factory in Grasse.
What is the difference between a small-group and a private tour?
A small-group day shares a minivan with other travellers, up to eight on the smallest. A private tour carries only your group, up to four by road, priced per person on a scale that falls as the group grows.
Can I drive myself?
Yes. The open-top e-car and the electric mini Fiat let you drive behind a guide; the e-car needs a driving licence and a driver of 18 or over. A boat you pilot yourself leaves a dock in Monaco and needs no licence.
Is there a helicopter tour?
No helicopter flight is sold here. For the coast from above, the road days climb the Moyenne Corniche and stop at the viewpoints and in Èze village.
What happens if it rains or the sea is rough?
If an operator cancels for weather, you are offered another date or a full refund. Boats can change their route or swim stop on a rough day, so keep a free morning later in your stay.
When do the boats run?
The sunset boat runs from 1 April to 30 October. The Beaulieu solar boat sails all year, with blankets in winter. Check the date on any other boat before you plan around it.
When is the Menton Lemon Festival?
The Fête du Citron runs from 13 to 28 February 2027. Menton fills for it, so book a room early or come by train for the day.
When is the Cannes Film Festival?
The 80th festival runs from 11 to 22 May 2027. Cannes hotels and tours fill early in those two weeks.
When is the Monaco Grand Prix?
The 2027 race weekend is 3 to 6 June. The palace State Apartments and the Oceanographic Museum close for it.
Which tours go to Grasse?
The Medieval Villages day from Nice spends time in Grasse, Gourdon, Tourrettes-sur-Loup and Saint-Paul-de-Vence. The coast road days stop at Fragonard's factory in Èze instead.
Are tips included?
No. Some listings name gratuities as not included, and none adds one to the fare. Tip as you would at home.
